Video Blogs – Why You Should Use Video Blog Technology
Pretty much everyone these days is familiar with what blogs are. Blogs have become the standard way to market or to let your opinion be known on the Internet.
But what about video blogs? Creating a video blog is the next natural step in sharing ideas and products on the Internet with your visitors. The use of video is an essential Internet marketing strategy.
Video blogs add an interesting spark to your plain text blog articles. Your website visitors will find video blogs entertaining and enlightening. Many people would rather watch a video to learn about something than to read an in depth article about it.
As a business tool videos are very effective. Business products can be shown and demonstrated with ease using videos. Think of it as a commercial that you control and that is free of cost. And because most of the visitors that land on your blog are interested in your niche, they are most likely your target market and are interested in what you have to offer.
Let’s face it if people are looking to buy your product, it is going to be a much easier “sell” if they can see what your product can do and NOTHING does that better than using a visual approach. People want to see if your product is of value and is worth the price. If your video “commercial” is good enough, many may be convinced to buy your product whether they need it or not. Think of it as an impulse buy!
Videos can be attention getters for your website. Since inserting videos on your blog is not as easy as typing an article, videos are still considered somewhat unique in the blogging world.
What do you need to create a video blog? Basically all you need is a good web camera, a microphone, and some type of video software to create and publish the video. Most good web cameras have microphones included in them and there are numerous video software editing programs from which to choose.
Also a key component that is needed is for you to be somewhat innovative. A little creativity goes a long way in creating videos for your blog.
One word of advice; when you place a video on your blog set it up so that it does NOT start playing automatically. Require the visitor to click on the play arrow instead. That way if the visitor is not interested in watching the video, they won’t be forced to stop it….or even worse leave your blog so they do not have to watch it. You may loose that visitor forever if that happens.
Another tip that I will share with you is that you should not overdo the number of videos you have on your blog. Instead sprinkle them throughout your posts to create more interest. Continue to regularly use your text articles and photos throughout your blog posts.
Remember the more resourceful you are in demonstrating your product to your visitors the more likely your success. By posting video blogs on your website, you can develop a rapport with your visitors, capture their interest, and relate to them interactively.
