Free Ways to Find Someone You Are Looking For

There are more ways of finding people free online being introduced everyday. So what was the best method to use last year may not necessarily be the best method to use now. When you want to find someone you can use free people search websites like ZabaSearch or use Intelius’ services that charge you a fee to do a people search.

The Internet is evolving rapidly and here is a good example of that. Did you know that just four short years ago online social networking sites did not exist?  Amazing! Then came along sites like Friendster and MySpace, websites that made it possible for people to share information online and make friends.

Informational articles written last year on which of these social sites to use would have to be updated this year because there are newer and arguably better social networking sites that you can now use. For example, Facebook is currently the top site that everyone uses. There is no fee for joining and making friends online. Facebook allows you to converse with your friends in a social networking situation.

You can search for long lost friends or acquaintances that you are no longer in touch with.  This means that within seconds after signing up to Facebook you can use the people finder tool found on the site.

Estimates show that the number of people using Facebook has increased by three fold in the last two years. According to Google Ad Planner, Facebook has had 13 billion total visits, with an estimated 450 million unique users and 28 million average visits per visitor that are tracked through cookies.

You can also use Twitter, the newcomer which is rocking the social media world, to find people. With 74 million users and 650 million total visits you can take a chance and search there.

Although MySpace is no longer a favorite, millions entered their profiles on that site a couple of years ago when it was still hot so do not overlook it just yet when you are searching for someone. In fact, it still has about 89 million unique users so you should consider it as well.
